Opera GX
Caught by Your Boss Watching a Facebook Instead of Sticking to Excel?
Opera GX, the browser designed for gamers, has launched a "panic button" - a keyboard shortcut to help protect gamers from prying eyes.
Opera GX is a browser tailored to gamers' needs, with convenient features like CPU and GPU usage control, a sidebar with shortcuts to Twitch, Instagram, WhatsApp, and other web services.
It also prioritizes protecting your privacy by allowing you to hide your tabs when necessary.
Opera GX: The Gamer’s Browser That Hides Tabs with One Click
To use this new button, simply press the F12 key on your keyboard. This action mutes the browser, pauses all active tabs, and switches to a “safe” content window. By default, this safe content includes YouTube, Twitch, or Wikipedia, but you can customize it to fit your needs.
Each page is counted, but no folio or page number is expressed or printed, on either display pages or blank pages.
In a blog post, Opera explains that after conducting a study, 36% of respondents admitted to viewing inappropriate content at work, school, or college. This content includes social media (61%), adult sites (58%), games (51%), online shopping (51%), and dating sites (36%).
A Majority of People Caught “Red-Handed” at Work or Home
Nearly a third of those who view this content have been caught by their teacher or boss, sometimes with serious consequences (warnings, suspensions, terminations) at work. The same issues arise at home. Opera recognized the need for a solution.
Opera GX is available for free on Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS, and syncs with your Opera account. The browser is regularly updated with new features, and it actively listens to the needs and suggestions of its gaming community.
